One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Flickering Maid could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. driver couldn't keep Shining Summer to trotting so they were disqualified.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Because I Can sprinted to the front. A bird flew just in front of Shining Summer who started to galop and lost 40 m.




Because I Can was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.

Gorgeous Lilac won the race after a spectacular finish.
