The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Arvika this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Ticking News found a gap and took the lead. Afinogenov followed before Tropical Thinker. driver couldn't keep Diablo In Disguise to trotting so they were disqualified.




This is the positions after 500m. Afinogenov, Ticking News, Value Increase, Wondering Necklace, Famous Glittering, Tropical Thinker, Feel The Pain, Aftenlys. A bird flew just in front of Unknown who started to galop and lost 20 m.




Afinogenov was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead. Unknown showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Afinogenov today. It continued in the lead. Value Increase started to gallop after 1500m and Leif Witasp had to struggle to get it back in trotting.



Afinogenov sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.
