The weather had been good all week and Årjäng was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Coast To Coast could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

This is the positions after 500m. Bon A Parte, Starstruck Jewel, Quilly Du Marais, Hunting Dalton, Coast To Coast, Nothern Cirkus, Delightful Samba, Eclipse.

Quilly Du Marais sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Starstruck Jewel suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 10 m.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Quilly Du Marais today. It continued in the lead.

Hunting Dalton seemed to be in top-form this day and took over the lead.

Hunting Dalton looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Opposing Starshine galop. Opposing Starshine lost 20 m.

Eclipse won the race after a spectacular finish.
