Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Jarlsberg track was in top-condition.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were
Le Monde.

Frenzy ended up behind the leader.
Gimme Shelter got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. wanted a little to much in the start and Unknown galoped for 30 m. Åsbjørn Tengsareid wanted a little to much in the start and Running
Pain galoped for 30 m. When the startcar left the field Power
Tank started to galop and lost 30 m.

Tank. Unknown started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. A bird flew just in front of Unknown who started to galop and lost 40 m.
The leader got disturbed by something and
Growling Jaguar took the lead rather easily.
Lemon Tree saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead.
With only a little left of the race

Tank galoped for 50 m. With only a little left of the race

Tank galoped for 30 m.
Achill suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.
The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused
Power
Tank galop.

Tank lost 10 m.
Gimme Shelter sprinted over the finishline before
Lemon Tree and
Achill.
