It had been raining for several days at Lappeenranta but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Mio In Coda could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Unknown was to tense at the start and galloped for 30 m. Unknown was to eager when the car accellerated, galopped and was disqualified.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Modest Grove sprinted to the front.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Unknown galoped after 1000m and lost 40 m.




Modest Grove was still in the lead after 1500m.



With only a little left of the race Don´t Like Snow galoped for 30 m. Modest Grove kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Don´t Like Snow galop. Don´t Like Snow lost 50 m.




Grasping Wave sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
