It had been raining for several days at Kokkola but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Stay With Me could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Veli-Erkki Paavola wanted a little to much in the start and Chewing Gum galoped for 40 m.

This is the positions after 500m. Chewing Gum, Louise Kalcedon, Gimcrack, Just Now, Growing Thrasher, Chansey, The Magic Key, Truckdriver Melvin.

Growing Thrasher sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Chansey suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 40 m.

The Magic Key was disturbed and galopped for 40 m. Growing Thrasher sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.

Stay With Me sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
