One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Relax My Friend. Shining Armor ended up behind the leader. Mean Machine got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. When the startcar left the field Unknown started to galop and lost 10 m.

This is the positions after 500m. Trouver Trophée, Relax My Friend, Mean Machine, Quality Mark, Shining Armor, Space Royal, Tasmanian Barbarian, Starshine Breeze. Unknown started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Relax My Friend looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Quality Mark couldn't come out from behind the leader, Trouver Trophée. Unknown showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Space Royal suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 50 m.

Relax My Friend looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Trouver Trophée couldn't come out from behind the leader, Quality Mark.

Starshine Breeze galoped for 60m and was disqualified.

Quality Mark didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
