The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Rättvik this day.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

L'argent Voie sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. Major Man was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m.

The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced. A bird flew just in front of Unknown who started to galop and lost 50 m.

New York Symbol looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Major Man couldn't come out from behind the leader, L'argent Voie.

New York Symbol looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Unknown started to gallop after 1500m and Unknown had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Unknown showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. New York Symbol kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Final standings. 1 Major Man, 2 L'argent Voie, 3 New York Symbol.
