One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Gingerbreadman could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Nitty Gritty sprinted to the front.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Gingerbreadman looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.




Gingerbreadman was still in the lead after 2000m.



Nitty Gritty looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.
