It had been raining for several days at Kaustinen but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Final Stroke. Løb Oven ended up behind the leader. Light Sound got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. Unknown was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m. When the startcar left the field Unknown started to galop and lost 40 m.

Smiling Feeling quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Unknown was disturbed and galoped 10 m. Au Revoir galloped for 60m and was disqualified.

Smiling Feeling clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. Unknown suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 30 m.

Final Stroke looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Unknown galloped for 40 m. Unknown started to gallop after 1500m and Unknown had to struggle to get it back in trotting. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Final Stroke gallopped for 20 m.

Sugar Action speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Sugar Action galopped for 30 m on the homestretch.

Final Stroke won. Crash Bom Bang came in second. Light Sound caught third place.
