One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Great Deed sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead.

This is the positions after 500m. Hynderweides Dark Rain, Lightning Fire, Glorious Garden, King Dragon, Power Tank, Great Deed, Better Than Best, Sir Elegance. Prince Universe showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

Power Tank looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Better Than Best couldn't come out from behind the leader, Hynderweides Dark Rain. King Dragon suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 20 m.

Power Tank looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.

With only a little left of the race Prince Universe galoped for 30 m. Better Than Best speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Power Tank never caught up with Better Than Best who won. Great Deed came third.
