The sun was shining on Åby today. A perfect day for trotting.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Naranja Star could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




This is the positions after 500m. Cute Apple, Naranja Star, Falling Rose, Appetizer, Sad Closet, Turbo Boy, Hard Mustache, The Big Apple. The Big Apple was disturbed and galoped 50 m. Turbo Boy started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Falling Rose looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Appetizer couldn't come out from behind the leader, Cute Apple. Naranja Star galoped after 1000m and lost 20 m.




Appetizer looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.




Appetizer didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead.



Appetizer were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.






Appetizer didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
