One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Good Looking Comet could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

This is the positions after 500m. Falling Scope, Detailed Description, Honourable Cruiser, Screaming Puma, Focused Thinking, Gobi Desert, Brave Tropic, Good Looking Comet.

Falling Scope was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Falling Scope followed by Detailed Description and Gobi Desert. Lane two Brave Tropic followed by Good Looking Comet and Honourable Cruiser. Zee Wensdroom showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

With only a little left of the race Zee Wensdroom galoped for 30 m. Falling Scope sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Detailed Description never caught up with Falling Scope who won. Gobi Desert came third.
