The weather had been good all week and Sørlandet was in good shape.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
License To Win found a gap and took the lead.

Garden followed before
In The Gun. Unknown galloped way to long and was disqualified. When the startcar left the field Unknown started to galop and lost 20 m.
License To Win was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead. Unknown was disturbed and galoped 10 m. Unknown started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.
License To Win looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that

Garden couldn't come out from behind the leader,
In The Gun. Unknown galoped after 1000m and lost 40 m.
In The Gun was still in the lead after 1500m. Unknown started to gallop after 1500m and Unknown had to struggle to get it back in trotting. Unknown galloped for 20 m.
Unknown was disturbed and galopped for 40 m.
In The Gun looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.
Winner of todays race was
In The Gun.
License To Win came in second.
Goofy
Garden became third.
