One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Giresse found a gap and took the lead. Listening Comet followed before African Fighter.

The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.

African Fighter sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one African Fighter followed by Accelirator and Rosa Moyesii. Lane two Listening Comet followed by All Damage Done and Giresse.

African Fighter sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Listening Comet never caught up with African Fighter who won. Accelirator came third.
