One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Third Jewel found a gap and took the lead. Partout followed before Liberty. driver couldn't keep Luksus Lyst to trotting so they were disqualified.

Partout saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.

Derby Queen sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Derby Queen followed by Glowing Grove and Luna Child. Lane two Liberty followed by Third Jewel and Partout. Unknown started to gallop after 1500m and Unknown had to struggle to get it back in trotting. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Sneaking Closet gallopped for 50 m.

Derby Queen sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

No-one could catch Derby Queen today who won before Liberty and Third Jewel.
