One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Valletta Queen found a gap and took the lead. Lucky Lady followed before The Better Part.

There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.

The Better Part sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

The Better Part was still in the lead after 1500m.

The Better Part sat safely in the lead after 2000m.

The Better Part were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Valletta Queen never caught up with The Better Part who won. Love My Quebec came third.
