One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Something Special found a gap and took the lead. Perfect Force followed before Unpredictable. Giant Sharp showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galloping.

This is the positions after 500m. Perfect Force, Unpredictable, Something Special, Pick Me First, Nitty Gritty, Giant Sharp, , . A bird flew just in front of Unknown who started to galop and lost 30 m.

Pick Me First looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Unpredictable couldn't come out from behind the leader, Perfect Force.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Perfect Force today. It continued in the lead.

Giant Sharp showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. With only a little left of the race Giant Sharp galoped for 50 m. Perfect Force sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Nitty Gritty sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
