The weather had been good all week and Solvalla was in good shape.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were
Liberty.
Funky
Jewel ended up behind the leader.
Look Away got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. When the startcar left the field Eloi started to galop and lost 10 m.
Trondheim Viking quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. A bird flew just in front of
Look Away who started to galop and lost 50 m.
Accelerate took the lead after 1000m.
Strong
Bullet didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Unknown galoped after 1000m and lost 50 m.
Empoleon suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 10 m.
Funky
Jewel accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.
Forest Glen Trotter started to gallop after 1500m and Örjan Kihlström had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Jewel sat safely in the lead after 2000m.

Jewel were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.
Kaj Widell tried a little too much on the homestretch and
Empoleon started to galopp and lost 20 m.
Funky
Jewel didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
