It had been raining for several days at Rättvik but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Sergeant Power found a gap and took the lead. Trinitatis followed before Giant Pride. driver couldn't keep Unknown to trotting so they were disqualified. Hans R Strömberg wanted a little to much in the start and Trinitatis galoped for 40 m.

The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced. Perfect Sun was disturbed and galoped 40 m.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.

Perfect Sun galloped for 60m and was disqualified. With only a little left of the race Perfect Sun galoped for 40 m. No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Perfect Sun galop. Perfect Sun lost 30 m. Perfect Sun galopped for 50 m on the homestretch. Åke Sundberg tried a little too much on the homestretch and Perfect Sun started to galopp and lost 50 m.

Indochine didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
