Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Kirchberg track was in top-condition.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Starbite found a gap and took the lead. Walking Valley followed before Drifter.

Turning Trap was in fine shape and held the lead.

Alpine looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Walking Valley couldn't come out from behind the leader, Kolbasz.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Turning Trap today. It continued in the lead. Kolbasz started to gallop after 1500m and Janez Hrovat had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Turning Trap were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Winner of todays race was Alpine. Walking Valley came in second. Drifter became third.
