One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Philimon took the lead after a very quick start.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark. Ehtiä Ylimääräinen started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Steel Classic looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Runs With Class couldn't come out from behind the leader, Philimon.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Philimon followed by Runs With Class and Swinging Sixties. Lane two Steel Classic followed by Power Stalion and Perfect Brave. Ehtiä Ylimääräinen started to gallop after 1500m and Tony Wallin had to struggle to get it back in trotting.



Runs With Class suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.






Philimon never caught up with Runs With Class who won. Steel Classic came third.
