The weather had been good all week and Romme was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Sonne Brilliant could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Jolly Girl quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. A bird flew just in front of Unknown who started to galop and lost 40 m. Trembling Star started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Boulogne took the lead after 1000m. Sonne Brilliant didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Close To Perfection suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 50 m.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Boulogne today. It continued in the lead. driver couldn't keep Unknown to trotting so they were disqualified.




Boulogne didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead.



Boulogne looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Munny Talks galopped for 10 m on the homestretch.




Black Mountain won the race after a spectacular finish.
