It had been raining for several days at Kalmar but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Tropical Kavat could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. When the startcar left the field Public Enemy started to galop and lost 50 m.




Helpful Rocket quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Viens Véritable started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. Public Enemy showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.




Helpful Rocket clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Helpful Rocket followed by Beauty Dragon and Viens Véritable. Lane two Tropical Kavat followed by Nathaniel and Thures Brown Jug.



Tropical Kavat litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.






Winner of todays race was Tropical Kavat. Helpful Rocket came in second. Beauty Dragon became third.
