One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Max Major took the lead after a very quick start. Unknown was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m. Energy Is All was to eager when the car accellerated, galopped and was disqualified.

This is the positions after 500m. Sweep Them All, Three Of Spades, Max Major, Galet Fräsch, Ancient Sfinx, Hynderweides Black Russian, Top Issue, Hard Thrasher. A bird flew just in front of Unknown who started to galop and lost 30 m. Unknown was disturbed and galoped 20 m.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Three Of Spades was disturbed and galoped 20 m. Galet Fräsch suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 50 m.

Top Issue looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.

Top Issue kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Energy Is All was disturbed and galopped for 40 m.

Hard Thrasher won. Top Issue came in second. Ancient Sfinx caught third place.
