The sun was shining on Gävle today. A perfect day for trotting.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Bold Sunflower could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. When the startcar left the field Unknown started to galop and lost 10 m.




The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced. Unknown was disturbed and galoped 30 m.




Common Ground took the lead after 1000m. Svatoj didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. driver couldn't keep Bold Sunflower to trotting so they were disqualified.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Common Ground followed by Magnifique and South Carolina. Lane two Svatoj followed by Whoopsadaisy and Deep River.




Common Ground didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead.



Deep River was disturbed and galopped for 20 m. Deep River showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Common Ground kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
