One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Ragazza Bellissima could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. When the startcar left the field Waving Meadow started to galop and lost 20 m. Pommac Francais suddenly started to galop. Jim Frick had to struggle to get Pommac Francais to tror again and succeded after 10 m.

The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced. A bird flew just in front of Ragazza Bellissima who started to galop and lost 30 m. Flying Diamond galloped way to long and was disqualified.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Flying Diamond was disturbed and galoped 10 m.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Pommac Francais today. It continued in the lead. Unknown galloped for 0 m.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Waving Meadow galop. Waving Meadow lost 40 m.

Ragazza Bellissima kept the speed the whole finish and won before Zebra Dance and Pommac Francais.
