One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Chant De Noël found a gap and took the lead. Rip Van Winkle followed before Très Joli.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Running Through Roses sprinted to the front. Dreaming Wind galloped for 60m and was disqualified.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Deal Me Out showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

Rip Van Winkle made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Running Through Roses.
