The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Åby this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Gentleman Band could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




This is the positions after 500m. Glorious Girl, Hynderweides Black Russian, Polished Thrasher, Johnny Globetrotter, Gentleman Band, Rolling Starlight, Moving Star, Oppsiktsvekkende.




Hynderweides Black Russian took the lead after 1000m. Moving Star didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Moving Star accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.




Polished Thrasher put some pressure on the leader and could take over.



With only a little left of the race Rolling Starlight galoped for 50 m. Polished Thrasher looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Polished Thrasher didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
