It had been raining for several days at Åby but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Transmission Champ could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

Transmission Champ was in fine shape and held the lead. Nelle Sas was disturbed and galoped 30 m.

Transmission Champ clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Transmission Champ followed by Vilas Boko and Sweep Them All. Lane two Insane Twister followed by Yoyo Forehand and Giant Sacrifice. Eagle Daffodil started to gallop after 1500m and Olle Elfstrand had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Insane Twister suddenly took over the lead.

Insane Twister sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Vilas Boko was disturbed and galopped for 20 m.

Transmission Champ sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
