One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Mad Meadow could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




This is the positions after 500m. L'Étoile Mystérieuse, Mad Meadow, Song For Love, Starstruck, Postcard From Calgary, Lysende Oplyse, Elegant Star, Sneaking Amazon. Trembling Wind was disturbed and galoped 30 m.




Song For Love sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.




Lysende Oplyse looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.



Lysende Oplyse were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.
