The weather had been good all week and Dannero was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Leaving Sydney. Blixsten Captain ended up behind the leader. Security Chief got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.

Nightmare quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Unknown was disturbed and galoped 10 m. Kangaskhan started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. A bird flew just in front of Great Starlight who started to galop and lost 30 m.

Nightmare was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.

Leaving Sydney looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.

Leaving Sydney were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Nightmare galop. Nightmare lost 10 m. Great Starlight was disturbed and galopped for 10 m.

Leaving Sydney didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
