One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Brûlant could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Québec Thunder was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m. Heavy Ship suddenly started to galop. Stefan Persson had to struggle to get Heavy Ship to tror again and succeded after 10 m.

Ticking Love saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Heavy Ship was disturbed and galoped 20 m.

Ticking Love clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. Heavy Ship suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 10 m.

Vasanta looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Sleepy Gold galloped way to long and was disqualified.

Checkmate Move suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

Heavy Ship was disturbed and galopped for 30 m.

Brûlant sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
