The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Rättvik this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Champion Du Champagne took the lead after a very quick start. Jimmi Ehlers wanted a little to much in the start and Vejle Kasper galoped for 30 m. Jörgen Westholm wanted a little to much in the start and Peacock galoped for 20 m.




The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.




Champion Du Champagne clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. Peacock suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 50 m.




Perfect Stardust accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.



Perfect Stardust kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Perfect Stardust didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
