The weather had been good all week and Solänget was in good shape. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Quick Satellite took the lead after a very quick start. License To Win quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Sledgehammer sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead. Mr Daffodil saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead. Pretty Sky litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch. The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Quick Satellite galop. Quick Satellite lost 10 m. Queenie won. Mr Daffodil came in second. First Angel Boy caught third place.
