One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Back In Time found a gap and took the lead. Set to Play followed before Carolina Queen.

The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.

Back In Time was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Back In Time today. It continued in the lead. Prince Hero showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

With only a little left of the race Carolina Queen galoped for 40 m. Thunder Ace was disturbed and galopped for 40 m. Back In Time kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Set to Play sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
