The sun was shining and the birds was singing on Lahti today.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Lyijyinen Laulaja found a gap and took the lead. Leaving Sydney followed before Rapièr. Unknown was to eager when the car accellerated, galopped and was disqualified.




The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.




Lyijyinen Laulaja was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead. Unknown galoped after 1000m and lost 50 m.




Leaving Sydney accelerated after 1500m and took the lead. Unknown showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.




Rapièr suddenly took over the lead.



With only a little left of the race Varjostaa galoped for 40 m. With only a little left of the race Varjostaa galoped for 50 m. Rapièr looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

driver couldn't keep Varjostaa to trotting so they were disqualified.




No-one could catch Rapièr today who won before Willow and Kentucky Diplomat.
