The sun was shining and the birds was singing on Joensuu today.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Rabid sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. When the startcar left the field Unknown started to galop and lost 30 m. When the startcar left the field Buy Me Clothes started to galop and lost 10 m.
Finest Way quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.
Buy Me Clothes looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that
Rabid couldn't come out from behind the leader,
Finest Way. Unknown was disturbed and galoped 10 m.
Rabid looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.
Rabid kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.
Buy Me Clothes was disturbed and galopped for 50 m.
Rabid were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.
Buy Me Clothes galopped for 10 m on the homestretch.
Finest Way won the race after a spectacular finish.
