One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were

Echec Et Mat ended up behind the leader.
Roll Twice got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.
A Star was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead. A bird flew just in front of
Echec Et Mat who started to galop and lost 50 m.
Roll Twice looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that
Echec Et Mat couldn't come out from behind the leader,
A Star.

Roll Twice suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.
Erik Adielsson tried a little too much on the homestretch and
A Star started to galopp and lost 20 m.
Roll Twice didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
