One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Flickering Pearl took the lead after a very quick start.




Flickering Pearl was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead. Piqûre D'abeille started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.

Flickering Pearl sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Transoxiana showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.




Piqûre D'abeille won the race after a spectacular finish.
