One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Hobe Globe found a gap and took the lead.
Lucky Tribute followed before
Croaching Tigress.
The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.
Croaching Tigress looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that
Lucky Tribute couldn't come out from behind the leader,
Hobe Globe. Unknown suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 30 m.
Standings after 1500m . Lane one

Lucky Tribute and . Lane two
Croaching Tigress followed by and . Unknown started to gallop after 1500m and Unknown had to struggle to get it back in trotting. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Unknown gallopped for 40 m.
Hobe Globe was still in the lead after 2000m.
Hobe Globe seemed to be in good shape this day and continued in the lead.
With only a little left of the race
Croaching Tigress galoped for 20 m.
Hobe Globe kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
Croaching Tigress showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Unknown tried a little too much on the homestretch and
Croaching Tigress started to galopp and lost 30 m.
Hobe Globe didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
