The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Umåker this day.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Steel Energy could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced. A bird flew just in front of Audessus De La Loi who started to galop and lost 50 m. Mercredi started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Helpful Band suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 10 m. Streiks Mitternachts galoped after 1000m and lost 40 m.

Steel Energy was still in the lead after 1500m.

Steel Energy was still in the lead after 2000m. Streiks Mitternachts gallopped 10 m after 2000m.

Streiks Mitternachts was disturbed and galopped for 30 m. Steel Energy looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Staffan Osterling tried a little too much on the homestretch and Swedish Fighter started to galopp and lost 50 m. The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Streiks Mitternachts galop. Streiks Mitternachts lost 10 m.

Mr Pin sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
