The weather had been good all week and Solvalla was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Super Lightning took the lead after a very quick start. When the startcar left the field Bad Habit started to galop and lost 40 m.




Super Lightning was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead. Bad Habit started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Super Lightning clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. Tailwind suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 50 m. Light My Fire suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 20 m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Light My Fire followed by Kentucky Diplomat and Bad Habit. Lane two Super Lightning followed by Tailwind and Perfect Thunder.



Light My Fire sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Winner of todays race was Light My Fire. Kentucky Diplomat came in second. Super Lightning became third.
