Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Åby track was in top-condition.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Lady Starlight took the lead after a very quick start.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.




Lady Starlight clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Thunder Force followed by Lady Starlight and Blinded. Lane two Royal Pride followed by Spinning Away and Pearl Rose.




Lady Starlight sat safely in the lead after 2000m.



Lady Starlight were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.






Lady Starlight kept the speed the whole finish and won before Thunder Force and Royal Pride.
