One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Fast Legend could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




This is the positions after 500m. Voorbij Paradijs, Tanned And Oiled, L'oreille Cassée, Typhoon Rebel, Amazing Summer, Happy Play, Bol Sergeant, Fast Legend. A bird flew just in front of Voorbij Paradijs who started to galop and lost 10 m. Jeu De Guerre galloped for 60m and was disqualified.




Happy Play looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Typhoon Rebel couldn't come out from behind the leader, Voorbij Paradijs.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Voorbij Paradijs followed by Bol Sergeant and Happy Play. Lane two Typhoon Rebel followed by Fast Legend and Tanned And Oiled.



Typhoon Rebel suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.






Typhoon Rebel kept the speed the whole finish and won before Bol Sergeant and Fast Legend.
