It had been raining for several days at Mantorp but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Dorado sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. When the startcar left the field Bendt started to galop and lost 10 m.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Brave Witch sprinted to the front. Windmaker started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Troy Mclore sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Troy Mclore followed by Bendt and Brave Witch. Lane two Running Velvet followed by Dorado and Look So Easy. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Radiating Cup gallopped for 50 m.

Running Velvet put some pressure on the leader and could take over.

Troy Mclore suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

Running Velvet won the race after a spectacular finish.
