The sun was shining on Lahti and it was a perfect day for trotting.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Funny Grey Rat sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead.

This is the positions after 500m. Moon Maker, Pom Duchess, Stopping Runner, Kind Act Law, Bettine, Brno On Fire, Black Comedy, Jermayne.

Brno On Fire took the lead after 1000m. Kind Act Law didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Funny Grey Rat suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 50 m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Brno On Fire followed by Funny Grey Rat and Jermayne. Lane two Bettine followed by Black Comedy and Moon Maker. Kind Act Law galloped for 50 m.

Brno On Fire looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Esa Holopainen tried a little too much on the homestretch and Black Comedy started to galopp and lost 20 m.

Bettine won. Funny Grey Rat came in second. Jermayne caught third place.
