The weather had been good all week and Malta Racing Club was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Back In Control took the lead after a very quick start.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Nowhere Man sprinted to the front.

Rousseau sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.

Rousseau was still in the lead after 1500m.

Rousseau kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.

Rousseau kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Murhprys Law sprinted over the finishline before Nowhere Man and Galante.
