One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Clever Map was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.

The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.

The leader got disturbed by something and Helaine took the lead rather easily.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Helaine today. It continued in the lead. Cliffs Of Gallipoli galloped way to long and was disqualified.

Helaine sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.
