Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Solvalla track was in top-condition.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Mercredi sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. Unknown was to tense at the start and galloped for 40 m. Unknown was to tense at the start and galloped for 10 m.




Nivala Matti quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. A bird flew just in front of Champagne who started to galop and lost 40 m.




Or Noir sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Or Noir followed by Headstorm and Republicain. Lane two Mercredi followed by Montreal Figher and Fair Sunray. Unknown galloped for 10 m. Unknown galloped for 10 m.



Or Noir was disturbed and galopped for 20 m. Headstorm suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

Bye Bye Susie was disturbed and galopped for 20 m.




Mercredi won the race after a spectacular finish.
